Hello peoples! I was having a bit of a wander round the net and thought i know where i havent been in like forever, the Granaboard!

I thought it had been a few months at most since i last posted but you've obviously moved house since I was last here and i noticed that under the 'member registered since' bit of a message that some of you have been at this version of the board since last October, guess that means i havent visisted in over a year, jeez thats passed quickly.

I'd ask what y'all had been up to but i guess that could be a long one considering the amount of time i've been away.

I'll try to stop by again real soon.

Welcome back!! Wow this is a grand month for the Granaboard. First we get the Board of the Month award, then a lot of new people and people from other boards join, and now retired members come back. You're back to Veteran status ^_^ . (You'll learn from member classes in the job opportunities thread somewhere in the middle.)

A lot of things happened, I'll summarize the most important ones:

- We moved from Hottub.org. You can find more information about this here.

- We settled in this great host which is free and has open admins. At first it was a bit slow, but now it's just as fast as the average board, and faster than average at some hours.

- Dragonrider became a moderator. He'll also help in the upcoming members' profiles section.

- The Granaboard website was later moved back to GeoCities.com so it's now completely independent from Hottub.org.

- We have a few new members, like Smelly Cat and Kles, but most of us are from the old boards.

- About a month ago we really had an activity crisis. I thought a lot on the state of site, board and community, and posted a poll, where it was decided to expand the Granaboard. Then I posted a survey to ask how, and later decided to expand it into a website covering Grandia II, Xenogears, Xenosaga, Grandia I, and all future Grandia games, in the same fashion as I had done with Grandia II (i.e. fanfics, fanart, theories, goodies and links), as well as to post regular members' unrelated fanart and fanfics, to archive interesting/long/useful posts we make in the board, and a few more things like the members' profiles and classes. The new site will be released in about a month, and its name is "Proto Omega: Granaboard 2", shifting from Grandia-focus to Xeno-focus (we talk about anything in the board anyways).

- And in October, we won the Board of the Month award from Hostboard.com, chosen between 1507 boards. We also got a banner-free month.

Thanks for the nice welcome back. I never meant to be away this long, sometimes life just take you away, y'know.

G2 still has a special place in my heart, and I think it was wiseman that once said something along the lines of, i dont think another game will ever have the same impact on me again. Its equally nice and strange to be considered a veteran.

I'll try to stay around a bit more now. I never really doubted this board would have gone, just evolve as it has done.
